Description : You have been approached by the owner of a local record shop called The Retro Vinyl Shop. The company sells a wide variety of vinyl records including music from the 70s, 80s and 90s and also some from present day artists. The company would like you to set up a prototype online enquiry and registration system for prospective customers to register, view the current record stock and view offers from them. They would also like to the admin staff to be able to login to the site to update and add new stock and artist details.
The company currently has a simple Access database containing details of all records in stock and artists. You should use this database as the back end of your web application and should extend the given aspNET database to contain these tables. The database contains three tables: Genre, Artist, and Album as follows:
You are required to do implement the following:
1. The required web application should have three levels of security:
a. Level 1 is the area that all users can view without registering or logging in. You should create the following lists to be displayed at this level:
i. A list of all records in stock for an artist
ii. A list of all records in stock released in a particular year
iii. A list of all records in the database of a particular music genre.
b. Level 2 is for people who have a customer account and can login to the web site. Here you will need to set up the following functionality:
i. Create a form for prospective customers to create a login to the system
ii. Allow the users to amend their details once logged in.
iii. Create a page for the registered users to view the current shop special offers (the content for this page does not have to be populated by the database).
c. Level 3 is for staff administrators only. In this area the staff member can view the artists and records in the database and then amend and add new ones.
You should set up a fully tested web application as described above using the Visual Studio 2005 c# ASP.NET

• The URL of your web site
• Any assumptions made
• any validation constraints imposed
• some annotated screen shots with brief running commentary
• test data, test plan, test log
• an evaluation of your system, with an explanation of why you created it to look the way it does, and suggestions on how it could be improved or developed further.
